Delete your data

Money Manager stores your data only on your phone. There is no account and no server copy, so deleting it from the phone deletes it completely.

Deletion is permanent. It cannot be undone and the developer cannot recover your data. If you might want your records later, export a backup first in Settings → Backup.

Option 1: delete from inside the app

  1. Open Money Manager.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete all data and confirm.

This removes all accounts, transactions, budgets, investments, loans, goals, recurring items and settings, and keeps the app installed so you can start fresh.

Option 2: clear the app's storage

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps and select Money Manager.
  3. Tap Storage (sometimes Storage and cache), then Clear storage or Clear data.

Menu names vary slightly between phone makers and Android versions.

Option 3: uninstall the app

Uninstalling Money Manager deletes all of its data from the phone.

Copies outside the app

The steps above do not remove files that exist outside the app. Delete these separately if you have them:

  • Backup (JSON) and CSV files you exported. Check your phone's Downloads or Files app, your computer, and any storage service you saved them to.
  • Android device backup. If backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may have included app data in it. You can manage or delete device backups in your phone's backup settings or in Google Drive.
